A number of companies holding The Vegan Trademark have joined the Vegan & Plant-Based Section at IFE, International Food & Drink Event 2023, taking place on 20-22 March at ExCeL London, to meet with key buyers from major supermarket chains, independent retailers, wholesalers and hospitality business owners.  

The Vegan & Plant-Based Section launched at the 2022 edition of the show and was met with wide acclaim from buyers, who were delighted to have a clear, designated area to source vegan products and meet with vegan brand owners.  

Vegan & Plant-Based is a category that consistently tops the list of interests across the board for IFE buyers, and following the 2022 launch of the section Vas Sideras, Buyer at Wanis International Foods, commented: “The part that stood out for me was the increase of vegan food suppliers.” 

Meanwhile Louisianna Waring of The Vegan Society commented that: “The Vegan & Plant-Based section in particular was buzzing, it's been amazing to try the new brands and connect with consumers." 

Following the 2022 edition, the Moving Mountain team told IFE: “The Moving Mountains team have had a fantastic three days at showcasing our full range of delicious meat alternatives and treating visitors to an exclusive sneak peek of some of our exciting new products. Being in the new Vegan & Plant-Based Section was perfect for our business and meant we were connecting with engaged, relevant buyers who were actively seeking out plant-based products. We can't wait to be back at IFE in 2023!”

While the team from Danish brand Naturli add: “We are joining IFE 2023 for the first time next year with the ambition to meet industry professionals from both retail and wholesale segments. The UK is among Naturli’s largest export markets, so it is important for us to be present in the UK and show existing and new customers the wide range of plant-based dairy alternatives from Naturli.”
