Nominations open for the 2024 FWD Gold Medal Awards

Nominations open for the 2024 FWD Gold Medal Awards

The FWD Gold Medal Awards 2024 return to Old Billingsgate on Thursday 28 November 2024. Nominations are now open for what is set to be a fantastic event, celebrating wholesalers and suppliers in the sector.

This year boasts 13 wholesale awards and 12 Supplier Award categories. These include the newest additions: the sought-after Diversity in Wholesale awards and Sustainability awards.

“These two categories have been a natural addition to the awards line-up as we launched our Diversity in Wholesale programme and Roadmap to Net Zero for the Wholesale sector,” explains Lyndsey Cambridge, Head of Engagement and Communications at FWD. “We are increasingly seeing sustainability and diversity and inclusion core values to members’ businesses, and rightly so. It has been fantastic to work with wholesalers and suppliers on our Sustainability forum and Diversity in Wholesale programme, and then see them recognised at our Gold Medal Awards for their work in these areas.”

Nominations proved so popular, there are now separate supplier and wholesaler awards for the sustainability and diversity categories. FWD also recognises the different work wholesalers and suppliers do in these areas, which is another reason for the split awards.

As in previous years, the awards recognise not only companies but individuals within the sector. These include the popular wholesale award categories: Wholesale Star, Wholesale Manager, Customer Development, Star Driver, Telesales Star and Emerging Talent, and the Emerging Talent supplier award category.

“What we love about these awards is that they encompass every area of the wholesale channel,” Lyndsey continues. “We hear some amazing stories of individuals in the sector and we celebrate all levels, from newcomers to seasoned managers.”

FWD’s membership has grown in the past 18 months and they look forward to an even greater eclectic range of entries. But that is down to you. Suppliers must be nominated by an FWD wholesale member so get your thinking caps on and submit a vote for the top suppliers you work with! The only caveat is they must be an FWD member (check the list here). Other supplier awards open for nominations: Emerging

Talent, Sustainable Supplier and Diversity in Wholesale. If you’re a supplier and feel you should be recognised, submit a nomination before the September cut-off date!

Wholesaler awards open for nominations: Retail Wholesaler, Foodservice Wholesaler, On Trade Wholesaler, Wholesaler with Turnover up to £50m, Diversity in Wholesale, Data & Insight, Sustainable Wholesaler and individual wholesale awards: Wholesale

Star, Wholesale Manager, Customer Development, Star Driver, Telesales Star and Emerging Talent.
