Discover innovation in vegan & plant-based at IFE 2023

Launched in 2022, the Vegan & Plant-Based Section at IFE, in partnership with The Vegan Society, is set to return bigger and better for 2023, with even more innovative products, visionary brands and exciting advances in taste and flavour. This Veganuary, IFE is highlighting just a selection of the fantastic vegan & plant-based businesses joining us at this year's event.

Since launching in 2014 Veganuary has gone from strength to strength, with more than 629,000 participants signing up in January 2022, and it's far from a one-off dietary shift for many who take part.

Dr Toni Vernelli, International Head of Communications and Marketing at Veganuary, tells IFE: "Veganism is the trend that keeps on trending! Whether to help animals, protect the planet or improve their health – more and more people do Veganuary every year and most of them (85%) continue to eat an increased amount of plant-based foods afterwards with nearly one-quarter staying fully vegan. Businesses that don’t increase their offerings for this growing market are simply not going to survive.”

Visitors to IFE representing supermarkets, independent retailers, wholesalers, hospitality businesses and more tell us that vegan & plant-based is one of the categories that they're most eager to explore at the show, and this year's event already has a star-studded line-up of fantastic businesses and products on show.

Eleanor McGregor, Events and Communications Officer at The Vega Society, comments: "The Vegan Society is thrilled to be partnered with IFE and their vegan and plant-based again in 2023. IFE is the UK’s leading food and drink trade exhibition, and The Vegan Society will be there in March with many of our Vegan Trademark holders.

"Being partnered with IFE allows The Vegan Society to reach new and existing audiences, helping brands to highlight their vegan product labelling in the ever-growing market at both our stand and at the certification clinic."
