PRECIOUS EUROPE
The 3-year campaign Precious Europe, concerning the promotion of European high-quality raisins and premium olive oil, is addressed to the markets of United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland.
The main objective of the campaign it to provide information on the quality of European premium olive oil and raisins, in order to highlight the European history, tradition and experience in olive oil & raisins production and processing, by a Association of 3 Producers Organizations located in the area of Corinth.
Greek raisins are a type of dried grapes that are produced in Greece, mainly in the region of Corinth. They are popular for their unique taste, texture, and nutritional benefits and are considered to be one of the country’s traditional and authentic products. This type of raisin is produced from the small and seedless grapes grown in the area of Corinth. The grapes are left to dry naturally on the vine, and then they are further sun-dried on straw mats or in special ovens until they reach the desired moisture content. The resulting raisins are small, and have a sweet and fruity taste that is unique to the Corinthian variety.
The Greek olive oil is considered top quality worldwide and claims various awards in prestigious international competitions. Olive orchards are cultivated across the country's ideal climate and soil varieties. The produced olive oil varies in colour from clear yellow to golden while some varieties obtained from unripe fruit have a greenish tinge. The Producer Organizations’ products include different varieties and qualities of olive oil that are personalized depending the consumer’s needs. The packaging varies from 250ml to 5000ml glass, carton or plastic bottles while the final product may be used for several purposes such as cooking, baking, marinades, for salads toping, for dipping or even can be enjoyed with a piece of bread
