In 1932 Gijs van der Kroon started the basis for a family tradition. In a small factory in the South of Amsterdam, he started pickling vegetables. Over the years Kroon Food has grown to become the leading specialist in the processing of a wide range of fresh vegetables and gherkins into pickled products.

Van der Kroon Food Products B.V. is BRC certified and they work in accordance with HACCP principles. This means they guarantee a high-quality, high-standard and safe product. Their employees are a key part of this process. Without them we are nowhere!

As an organization, they believe it is important to support social initiatives. Kroon make regular contributions to charities and non-profit organizations.

They try to minimise waste and are using solar panels to generate energy. With the development of new products they try to use as little packaging as possible. In addition Kroon try to reduce our energy and water use as far as possible. The application of LED lighting in our company is a good example. Kroon’s efforts are positively reviewed by SMETA.
