Halal Food Authority
The Halal Food Authority (HFA) was founded in 1994 to offer halal certification and auditing services to both food and non-food producers and manufacturers. Its main objective is to guarantee that products meet halal standards by implementing monitoring procedures such as slaughtering, ingredient evaluation, prevention of cross-contamination, and halal labeling.
We are accreditated by international Halal bodies such as EIAC (Emirates International Accreditation Centre from UAE), a governmental accreditation body under the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT), Halal Accreditation Agency from Turkey (HAK), Halal Product Assurance Organising body from Indonesia, BPJPH (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal), and Jakim from Malaysia.
Our services are also recognised by the Halal Centre of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), and registered with SASO.
Additionally, we are recognised by MUIS (Singapore), CICOT (Thailand), and GIMDES (Turkiye). We are also accredited on the SMIIC standard for OIC countries and have mutual recognition with other certification bodies through membership of WHFC (World Halal Food Council).
