Glastry Farm Ice-cream is a totally integrated business from farm to plate. Only the highest quality milk is used from our own pedigree dairy herd of Holstein and Jersey cows. The Taylor family have been dairy farming at Glastry since 1856 and the sixth generation is now in charge, this ensures total control and traceability to the final product with zero food miles..
- We commenced ice-cream processing two decades ago following a Nuffield Scholarship using local fruit in season, skim milk powder from Prichett Foods nearby and a relationship with The Farmer Co-op in the Sava Region of Madagascar for our pure Vanilla Bean imported directly to Glastry Farm. We supply many of the 4-5 star hotels and restaurants in Ireland and a presence in retail and a growing share of the food to go sector. Our award winning range has amassed 24 Gold stars in the Great Taste Awards over the last decade. Innovation into the healthier food products has produced a range of low fat/lower sugar/ high fibre sorbets with advanced technology producing products that are achieving 20% growth in sales and winning awards
