Founded in 1935, Charles Faraud is nestled in the heart of Provence (Monteux, Vaucluse), a region renowned for its rich agricultural heritage. Over the decades, we have established ourselves as a leading player in the fruit and vegetable processing industry, specializing in high-quality compotes and baby food products.
With nearly 500 employees across three state-of-the-art production facilities—Monteux (France), Allex (France), and Lancaster (USA)—we are committed to delivering excellence. In 2024, we achieved a turnover of €227 million, selling more than 100,000 tonnes of compotes across Retail, Food Service, and Private Label sectors.
Innovation has been at the core of our success. In 2003, we pioneered the production of pouches, enhancing convenience and sustainability in food packaging. Today, we continue to lead the way with our No Sugar Added desserts, all rated Nutriscore A, and our recyclable pouches designed for baby food products.
Our commitment to quality and sustainability is reflected in our certifications. We are BRC certified, ensuring the highest food safety standards, and hold ISO 14001 certification for our environmental management practices. In our pursuit of continuous improvement, we have also obtained the ISO 50001 standard for our Monteux and Allex production sites, optimizing energy performance and reducing our environmental footprint.
In 2024, Charles et Alice proudly became a ‘company with a mission,’ reinforcing our dedication to responsible business practices.
