UNESCO Biosphere to showcase unique produce at International Food and Drink Event (IFE)

Isle of Man-the world’s only
whole-nation UNESCO Biosphere will today be showcasing its unique produce at
the International Food and Drink Event in London.
The event will take
place at the New Products Tasting Theatre from 12:00-13:00.
Three new products will be launched at the showcase today.
- The Fynoderee Distillery
will be introducing a new Signature gin, with juniper, pine, lemon
zest, fennel and a range of spices. This gin will be available year-round for
premium and independent retail distribution and export.
- Gourmet popcorn producer PopCornaa is launching a Vegan Coconut and Green Matcha popcorn.
- Okell's Brewery is celebrating 175 years of brewing excellence with the launch of a Smoked Porter, brewed with peated malt and aged on tasted oak wood chips.
As the world’s only entire nation UNESCO Biosphere, the Isle of Man has a thriving food and drink sector that draws inspiration and ingredients from its unique environment.
This session will bring together award-winning brands from
across the Island. Producers in attendance will include Isle of Man Creamery,
Isle of Man Salt Co., Okell’s Brewery, PopCornaa, The Fynoderee Distillery and
Berries Luxury Bakers and Confectioners.

- Isle of Man Creamery's Vintage Red Leicester cheese
- Isle of Man Salt Co.'s Furikake seasoning
- Okell's award-winning Zero pale ale
- PopCornaa's 3* Great Taste Award winning Vegan Seaweed, Wasabi and Soy popcorn
- Berries 3* Great Taste Award winning Manx Sea Salted Caramel Sticky Toffee pudding and Fynoderee Luxury Rum Christmas pudding

of Man Creamery stand 3220: This cooperative of 28 family
dairy farms, established in 1934, produces award winning aged, flavoured and
traditional British cheeses using milk from grass-fed cows. Exported to the UK,
Europe and North America and available in major supermarkets such as Tesco,
Morrisons and Publix.
Okell’s Brewery stand 3834: With
a rich history spanning 175 years, this brewery remains rooted in Manx heritage
while maintaining a forward-looking focus. Okell’s have received accolades for
their incredible “Zero” product, which is already available in Spar stores and
now available in selected Tesco stores.
Fynoderee
Distillery stand 3834: A passionate Manx distillery,
creating an exquisite range of spirits flavoured using local ingredients
inspired by our heritage, culture, and folklore. Fynoderee’s range is available
at numerous UK based and online retailers, such as Master of Malt, and they
have recently received significant publicity following their collaboration with
the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and their silver medal placing at the
World Gin Awards.
Isle
of Man Salt Co. stand 770: Hand-harvested
sea salt from the pristine marine nature reserve waters surrounding the Isle of
Man. After a successful first few years in business, Isle of Man Salt Co. is
expanding its production capacity and seeking to develop relationships with
potential UK stockists who share their brand values. They recently launched on
UK independent food and drink app DELLI.
PopCornaa stand 770: A
brand-new company creating gourmet popcorn using only natural ingredients,
named after the beautiful Glen and Port Cornaa on the Island. The popcorn is
made in small batches in the clean sea air of the Isle of Man, with dairy
products from grass-fed Isle of Man cows.
Berries stand 770: An
independent, family-owned business specialising in the creation of multi-award
winning, luxury Christmas puddings, cakes and handcrafted chocolates. Having
previously supplied premium retailers such as Fortnum and Mason and supermarket
chains such as Aldi, Berries have recently focused on expanding and upgrading
their production facilities and are looking to partner with UK retailers who
value craft and artistry and whose customers appreciate producers who commit to
only using the finest ingredients.
