Betrimex was recently honored at the ESG Impact Awards 2024, presented by AmCham (the American Chamber of Commerce in Ho Chi Minh City). This prestigious award recognizes Betrimex's success in implementing an innovative biological solution to control black-headed caterpillars in coconut trees, protecting its supply areas in Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces.

By using Trichogramma sp. wasps, a natural enemy of the pest, Betrimex has reduced black-headed caterpillar populations in its coconut plantations by up to 97% in just over a year. This effort has helped protect over 10,600 hectares of organic coconut trees and support the livelihoods of thousands of farmers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Truc Lien, Betrimex's Agriculture Director, shared, "This project demonstrates our commitment to combining science and nature to create a sustainable agricultural model, protect the environment, enhance the coconut value chain, and bring practical benefits to farmers."
