In 1987, Brian Mullany met Suellen Patterson.

On 7 October 1989 (their wedding day) Brian began the first plantings at Grove Estate. These vineyards now comprise 100 hectares of vines over the red volcanic soils of The Hilltops.

The Grove Estate Cellar Door was established in 1999, in a former cherrypickers' shed.

The partnership of viticulturist Brian Mullany with winemakers including Tim Kirk and Bryan Martin has resulted in a run of notable wines. These have received acclaim at wine shows in Australia and overseas.
