Biography

Jane Peyton is an expert in alcoholic drinks, drinks writer, events producer and host. She founded the School of Booze – a drinks consultancy and corporate events production company. Jane was Britain's first Beer Sommelier of the Year (2014). She is the instigator and project manager of the UK’s national beer day – Beer Day Britain. She is the co-writer of the official anthem for beer ‘Cheers To Beer’.

Jane is the author of seven non-fiction books including ‘Beer o ’Clock’, ‘Drink: A Tippler’s Miscellany’, and ‘Pub Scene’.

She is the Trade Media Writer of the Year (2015-16) awarded by the British Guild of Beer Writers; and Drinks Educator of the Year 2016-17 (awarded by Imbibe magazine).
Jane is a regular guest on radio and television talking about alcoholic drinks.
Jane also hosts award winning pub and beer tasting tours for visitors from overseas. Her tours were awarded Top Global Experience 2012 and Top Rated British Experience 2014 and 2015 (by international tour agency Viator).
