The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) is responsible for promoting UK trade across the world and attracting foreign investment to our economy. They are a specialised government department with responsibility for negotiating international trade policy, supporting business, as well as delivering an outward-looking trade diplomacy strategy.
The Department for International Trade (DIT) proudly supported IFE 2017, by assisting UK-based companies to succeed in international markets. They provided the opportunity to meet with international buyers from the following markets US, Canada, Finland, Thailand, Germany, China, Hong Kong, Israel, Australia and New Zealand. UK companies visited the stand to meet international experts from those overseas markets, giving invaluable insight and understanding of what is required to enter those markets. There was also the opportunity to meet with International Trade Advisers who offered guidance and information about the export potential of visiting companies.
www.great.gov.uk has tailored support and advice for businesses on how to start exporting or increase the amount of goods and services they sell overseas.
